İlke Kodal graduated from Mimar Sinan University Ballet Department in 1998 , joined the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet the same year. She is still one of the principal dancers of the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet. She has represented Turkey in 1994 Prix de Lausanne, in 1998 St. Petersburg Vaganova School and in 2002 Japan Nagoya 4th International Ballet & Modern Dance Competition. She had the opportunity to work with world-famous choreographers and teachers in the field of classical and modern dance. Also she danced on different stages by participating in touring and gala nights in Canada, England, Portugal, Japan, Germany, China and Holland. In 2014, she was awarded as the best female dancer of the year selected by Andante magazine for her performance, “Giselle”, one of the most important works of the romantic ballet.
